Max isn't particularly popular at school and is often teased for living in a retirement home with his mother. She works there and Max soon realizes that you don't always have to look for your best friends among your peers. Not only does he have a close friendship with the seniors Vera, Horst and Kilian, the three are also his accomplices when it comes to finding out who is responsible for the haunting in the castle. And then the wild 7 also tries to improve Max's situation at school by convincing his sports teacher to organize a soccer tournament: Max and the seniors against the school team. Well, that'll be fun!
