In Vienna, the anticipation of the Danube Island Festival grows every year, and this time it is particularly special: Mayor Michael Ludwig personally got involved in the brewing process of the ninth Ottakringer Inselbier.
The Danube Island Festival is a highlight in Vienna's event calendar. It attracts visitors with a diverse program and a welcoming, solidarity-based atmosphere. Ottakringer, the traditional brewery from the 16th district, has been an important partner of the festival for years. The commitment is also reflected in the island beer created every year.
A special beer for a special event
This year's motto for the Danube Island Festival is: #myheartbeatsisland, a call for unity and cohesion. In keeping with this, the “Wiener Lager” from Ottakringer will be presented, which will only be available during the festival. And like every year, Mayor Michael Ludwig personally took part in the brewing process this year - a short but frothy appointment in Ottakring.
