The outdoor pool season in Wiener Neustadt starts in “Aqua Nova” and Akademiebad on April 27th. New shades, a new bathroom caterer and cheaper parking in the main square garage with the “Parking and Swimming” campaign await visitors.
The Wiener Neustädter outdoor pool season in the “Aqua Nova” and in the Akademiebad starts on April 27th. You can then swim outside until September 8th, the outdoor sports pool in the “Aqua Nova” can be used until the end of October. In terms of numbers, the year 2023 was a very good summer: the academy pool remained stable at the 26.000 level with around 2022 visitors, and in the “Aqua Nova” there was an increase of around 2023 percent in the months of May to August 10. With the start of the season in the two pools, a number of new features await visitors.

Innovations in the bathrooms
“Aqua Nova”:
- The baby pool received new shading. To increase safety, it is equipped with additional wind sensors.
- As part of this year's overhaul, the beach volleyball court was completely renovated.
- There will also be mermaid workshops starting in August.
- A photovoltaic system is currently being built on the roof of the new stadium, which will supply the “Aqua Nova” with electricity in the future.
Academy pool:
- From this season, Andreas Kainz and his KaHof Aqua Nova team will also take over the Badgastro in the Akademiebad. He has been represented in Aqua Nova since last year.
- The children's pool now also has shading.
- The outdoor pool is also the venue for the Lower Austrian State Swimming Championships from June 29th to 30th.
- “Parking and swimming” campaign: This season there is once again a cooperation with the Hauptplatz Garage, which is located directly next to the pool. Guests of the academy pool receive a ticket for the garage at the pool cash register for just 2 euros, which allows them to park for up to an entire day for this amount.
